Spectators: 7608 (Terracing: 5707, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 151) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tjorven Hustinx got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Tjorven Hustinx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilliam Mattheijs. East-Flanders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tjorven Hustinx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Wicked Hippies FC's Tjorven Hustinx slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilliam Mattheijs. That made the score 2-0 after 7 minutes of play. Enzo De Cat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Leers having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yvan Selleslags in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joseph Leers saved Wicked Hippies FC from getting behind. Enzo De Cat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. East-Flanders's Enzo De Cat got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Yvan Selleslags got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 25 minutes, Enzo De Cat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East-Flanders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo De Cat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Wicked Hippies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yvan Selleslags came free, but Joseph Leers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joseph Leers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo De Cat in the 28th minute of play. Boudewijn Reyniers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Gilliam Mattheijs skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Enzo De Cat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 minutes Wicked Hippies FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thierry Meynen who took care of the corner kick. Gilliam Mattheijs made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Boudewijn Reyniers sent off a good shot on target. Paulus Roscams hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Wicked Hippies FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ray Smeulders in the 45th minute. Wicked Hippies FC's Ray Smeulders was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gilliam Mattheijs in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gilliam Mattheijs was completely defenseless when Ray Smeulders shot a long shot which deflected off the right pole and into the goal in the game's 45th minute, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yvan Selleslags stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Yvan Selleslags had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 played minutes Wicked Hippies FC got a freekick which was hit by Alain van Bedts. Michel Render's late challenge caught a East-Flanders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Render helped the player get up and apologised. Michel Render kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Enzo De Cat in the 66th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Enzo De Cat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Leers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yvan Selleslags, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as East-Flanders's Dirk Winnepenninckx slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joseph Leers. That made the score 3-1 after 73 minutes of play. Yvan Selleslags recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute Yvan Selleslags shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Leers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yvan Selleslags sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enzo De Cat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Many of East-Flanders's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. East-Flanders may have spent more time on the ball, but Wicked Hippies FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
