Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Leopold Vischkens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Leopold Vischkens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dominick Seveneijns having to make a save. Lommel SK's Yoachim De Mees got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Lommel SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ignace Kerckmans came free, but Perry Postens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc De Meulder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Postens having to interfere. Marc De Meulder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Perry Postens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Leopold Vischkens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lommel SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopold Vischkens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dominick Seveneijns made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Willy Verheyden sent off a good shot on target. If Marc De Meulder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sean Van Havent blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Perry Postens having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Lommel SK's Leopold Vischkens got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, FC de katholieke kring's Loui Vermeiren tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Sean Van Havent managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC de katholieke kring's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Van Havent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perry Postens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42nd play minutes Marc De Meulder shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Perry Postens and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half FC de katholieke kring were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marc De Meulder to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Lommel SK's goalkeeper Perry Postens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sean Van Havent. In the 53rd match minute, Lommel SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arend Rosseels to maneuver through the defense. After 57 minutes, Yanick Van Acker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lommel SK and the FC de katholieke kring players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lommel SK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Yanick Van Acker hit a great ball. Perry Postens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Stuycken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sean Van Havent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lommel SK's Willy Verheyden got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willy Verheyden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Sebastien Kints got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC de katholieke kring's Dominick Seveneijns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willy Verheyden in the 72nd minute of play. Marc De Meulder struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Perry Postens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC de katholieke kring. If Willy Verheyden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Sebastien Kints got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Lommel SK booed when FC de katholieke kring was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michiel De Hont didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perry Postens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marc De Meulder showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 84 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Willy Verheyden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lommel SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Willy Verheyden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
