After 8 minutes, Giovanni Grauwen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Deuh and the VC Denderleeuw players grew even worse after the yellow card. Giovanni Grauwen hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Giovanni Grauwen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 10 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Fc Deuh's Giovanni Grauwen got a free kick in the 11th minute. Daniel Terhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorg Cantillon in the 14th minute of play. Fc Deuh's Daniel Terhorst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Deuh from getting a goal against them. Francis Van Camp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre De Keijsere having to interfere. Gunther Van Goolen struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Alexandre De Keijsere didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Deuh. Francis Van Camp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre De Keijsere having to interfere. Daniel Terhorst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Devaux in the 24th minute of the match. Francis Van Camp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Terhorst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorg Cantillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. VC Denderleeuw's Alexandre De Keijsere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Van Camp in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Bernt Devaux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Fc Deuh booed when VC Denderleeuw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbrecht Hoes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bernt Devaux came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the VC Denderleeuw fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Devaux couldn't finish the play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francis Van Camp was the one to do the kick off. If Francis Van Camp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st match minute, Fc Deuh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunther Van Goolen to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Roel Braeckman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Terhorst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre De Keijsere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francis Van Camp in the 65th minute. When Roel Braeckman fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VC Denderleeuw's protests and gave Roel Braeckman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to VC Denderleeuw getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Roel Braeckman hit a great ball. Jorg Cantillon charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorg Cantillon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francis Van Camp got free with Alexandre De Keijsere in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Fc Deuh defense, Herman Pelsers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Terhorst. The Fc Deuh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Terhorst should have stopped the shot. Bernt Devaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
