Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Leopold Vischkens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Alexandre De Keijsere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre De Keijsere came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Lommel SK's Willy Verheyden. But to his dismay, Willy Verheyden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Lommel SK booed when VC Denderleeuw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbrecht Hoes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in VC Denderleeuw's zone, Leopold Vischkens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre De Keijsere came out of the goal and Leopold Vischkens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernt Devaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Postens having to interfere. If Herman Pelsers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perry Postens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Pelsers in the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herbert Grauwen during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in VC Denderleeuw fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Lommel SK. Yoachim De Mees stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexandre De Keijsere. 2-0. Herman Pelsers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Postens having to interfere. Perry Postens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herman Pelsers's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Perry Postens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Pelsers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Herman Pelsers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Perry Postens. Lommel SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herman Pelsers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopold Vischkens made a kick off. If Giovanny Wuyts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th play minute Herman Pelsers came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Perry Postens. 2-3. In the 65th minute, VC Denderleeuw's Bernt Devaux dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. When VC Denderleeuw's Bernt Devaux in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lommel SK's goalie prevented a goal. Herman Pelsers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Postens having to interfere. Bernt Devaux's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Perry Postens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herman Pelsers got free with Perry Postens in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Perry Postens made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Herman Pelsers sent off a good shot on target. If Herman Pelsers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Lommel SK's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Devaux came free, but Perry Postens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herman Pelsers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Perry Postens made a huge save. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lommel SK's goalkeeper Perry Postens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Bernt Devaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Denderleeuw's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Devaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perry Postens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Lommel SK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VC Denderleeuw's performance. The match ended with a win for VC Denderleeuw.
