Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Huppelende Begijntjes FC's Ludwig Clement started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Borussia Merkezeel 1925's Luke Rouvroye got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludwig Clement in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerom Caes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Jerom Caes managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Huppelende Begijntjes FC's Martial De Meesemaeckere fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jerom Caes was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Bram De Vos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bram De Vos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Huppelende Begijntjes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Rouvroye came free, but Sven Koninckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Huppelende Begijntjes FC got a freekick which was hit by Bram De Vos. Jakob Schamp took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven Koninckx. Sven Koninckx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Martial De Meesemaeckere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martial De Meesemaeckeres short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Jerom Caes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 33 played minutes Borussia Merkezeel 1925 got a freekick which was hit by Samuel De Leger. In the 36th minute Luke Rouvroye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Koninckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes Huppelende Begijntjes FC got a freekick which was hit by Wannes Van Deuren. Bram De Vos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jerom Caes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martial De Meesemaeckere could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jerom Caes made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Huppelende Begijntjes FC's Ernst van Eijnde got a free kick in the 45th minute. Sven Koninckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Kempenaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Huppelende Begijntjes FC's Sven Koninckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luke Rouvroye in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luke Rouvroye to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Luke Rouvroye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Koninckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jos Van der Goten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huppelende Begijntjes FC were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Borussia Merkezeel 1925's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard Bernaers took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Richard Bernaers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jerom Caes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jerom Caes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bram De Vos in the 64th minute of play. Wannes Van Deuren struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jerom Caes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huppelende Begijntjes FC. Richard Bernaers took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerom Caes. Jerom Caes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Martial De Meesemaeckere might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerom Caes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martial De Meesemaeckere ran back to his position shaking his head. Borussia Merkezeel 1925's Jerom Caes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wannes Van Deuren in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Borussia Merkezeel 1925's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Richard Bernaers was slow to take the kick. During this time Huppelende Begijntjes FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Martial De Meesemaeckere managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jerom Caes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludwig Clement in the 83rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wannes Van Deuren during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Jakob Schamp could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Sven Koninckx however easily saved by the left post. Richard Bernaers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerom Caes. Borussia Merkezeel 1925's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There was no doubt that Huppelende Begijntjes FC were the better team. Huppelende Begijntjes FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
