Dieter Sneijers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias-Alexander Van Eersel in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Charl Hairpoel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yves Van Calster kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Birmingham United were the better team. Birmingham United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
