Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dre Van Leemputte took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd play minute Thierry De Kijser came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bjorn Acke. 1-0. A collision led to Club Zwalm getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Benny Huijbreghts hit a great ball. Mathis Scherens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bjorn Acke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andris Bollaert took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pascal Van De Wiele. Pascal Van De Wiele dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thierry De Kijser who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Bjorn Acke when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thierry De Kijser got free with Bjorn Acke in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrew Hostens was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. Dre Van Leemputte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bjorn Acke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Zwalm's Dre Van Leemputte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bjorn Acke. That made the score 3-1 after 39 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andris Bollaert made a kick off. FC Diest's Bjorn Acke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dre Van Leemputte in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dre Van Leemputte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bjorn Acke was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 58th match minute, Club Zwalm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Paschiers to maneuver through the defense. Bjorn Acke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry De Kijser, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Dre Van Leemputte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bjorn Acke was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. If Thierry De Kijser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Lennart Paschiers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dre Van Leemputte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bjorn Acke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre Van Leemputte in the 78th minute of play. Bjorn Acke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry De Kijser, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Oliver Francx kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, FC Diest's goal looked a bit too open when Dre Van Leemputte came free, but Bjorn Acke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Dre Van Leemputte notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of FC Diest's Bjorn Acke. Bjorn Acke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Dre Van Leemputte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Zwalm had played much better football throughout.
