The FC Flexon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaspar Langendonckx should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Hans Decloedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaspar Langendonckx was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. FC Flexon's Nic Van Aerschot got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sylvan Kesters made a kick off. Fred Cuveliers's late challenge caught a RG Raggers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Cuveliers helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as RG Raggers's Sylvan Kesters slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaspar Langendonckx. That made the score 0-2 after 63 minutes of play. Nic Van Aerschot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bjorn Van Geertruyen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
