Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 100) After a rather tough play, Olsa Brakel's Lorenz De Kock got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wayne Van der Weijden got free with Gwenn Walters in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Olsa Brakel's Guido van Haghten in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buggenhout's goalie prevented a goal. Lorenz De Kock kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Olsa Brakel's goalkeeper Gwenn Walters had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovanni Lijsens. Gwenn Walters was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reinaert Thielens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romain Rondas in the 16th minute of play forced Buggenhout's goalkeeper Peter Spoelberchs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romain Rondas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Spoelberchs having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Romain Rondas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Romain Rondas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olsa Brakel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Guido van Haghten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Buggenhout's Peter Spoelberchs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Uytdebroeck in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olsa Brakel's Jannis Godts got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Guilian Coekelbergh sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Olsa Brakel's Gwenn Walters didn't even have to move. Gwenn Walters was a little too slow when Reinaert Thielens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reinaert Thielens to make the kick off. Olsa Brakel's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido van Haghten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Spoelberchs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th match minute, Buggenhout was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koen Boegaerts to maneuver through the defense. Peter Spoelberchs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romain Rondas's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romain Rondas in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Spoelberchs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Uytdebroeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Spoelberchs having to interfere. Koen Boegaerts hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Peter Spoelberchs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romain Rondas in the 79th minute of the match. Buggenhout's Guilian Coekelbergh couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Olsa Brakel. When Giovanni Lijsens came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Buggenhout fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni Lijsens couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Lorenz De Kock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buggenhout were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Olsa Brakel for a fine match.
