The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Matthijs got free with Adolphe Maerschalk in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zemst's Adolphe Maerschalk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Stuckens in the 59th minute of play. Voshoek's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Pieterjan Schooters scored to the left of an out of position Arend Vranken, making the score, 0-3. Zemst's Adolphe Maerschalk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Stuckens in the 65th minute of play. Voshoek's Johnny Stuckens got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolphe Maerschalk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Matthijs in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zemst's zone, Wim Matthijs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolphe Maerschalk came out of the goal and Wim Matthijs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Ronsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78thth minute of the game Wim Matthijs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zemst's Adolphe Maerschalk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Zemst's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Stuckens came free, but Adolphe Maerschalk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Matthijs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Matthijs in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolphe Maerschalk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wim Matthijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolphe Maerschalk having to interfere. The Voshoek supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Zemst's performance. The match ended with a win for Zemst.
