An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Henderickx in the 18th minute of play forced KFC L's goalkeeper Cedrik Van Hinnendael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek booed when KFC L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Van Huytvenne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luke Coeckelberghs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bjorn Jennis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The KFC L fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cedrik Van Hinnendael should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Sint-Jans-Molenbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Coeckelberghs came free, but Bjorn Jennis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Henderickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in KFC L's zone, Rik Engels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cedrik Van Hinnendael came out of the goal and Rik Engels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Henderickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cedrik Van Hinnendael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cedrik Van Hinnendael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rik Engels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rik Engels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Ruttens might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bjorn Jennis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur Ruttens ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Luke Coeckelberghs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bjorn Jennis. That made the score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. In the 71st minute, Norbert Stercks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 played minutes, Sint-Jans-Molenbeek's Francis Anthonis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cedrik Van Hinnendael came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek reached it. 73 minutes into the game, Luke Coeckelberghs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bjorn Jennis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bjorn Jennis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Ruttens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cedrik Van Hinnendael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Henderickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Rik Engels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to KFC L getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Louis Verdonk hit a great ball. Cedrik Van Hinnendael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Henderickx in the 91st minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. KFC L walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
