Sander Van hoeijveld was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Quillian Nys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Roockeloos in the 25th minute of play. If Henri-Patrick Van Poucke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tony De Meesemaeckere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sander Van hoeijveld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, TeamBE's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Leclerq came free, but Quillian Nys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bill Leclerq in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quillian Nys saved TeamBE from getting behind. In the 45thth minute of the game Bill Leclerq who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TeamBE's Quillian Nys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Henri-Patrick Van Poucke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quillian Nys. TeamBE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henri-Patrick Van Poucke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The TeamBE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Eendracht Aalst were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bill Leclerq stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Bill Leclerq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bill Leclerq received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quillian Nys came out and tried to block the shot, but Bill Leclerq slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 56th minute. Tony De Meesemaeckere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sander Van hoeijveld in the 68th minute of the match. If Henri-Patrick Van Poucke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bill Leclerq sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quillian Nys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Leclerq in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Sander Van hoeijveld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TeamBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sander Van hoeijveld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th match minute, TeamBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenz Van Herck to maneuver through the defense.
