Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Timmy De Groot took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Neerpede's goal looked a bit too open when Timmy De Groot came free, but Marco Teunis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The nice shot from Reinard Weynants in the 9thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Marco Teunis had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Reinard Weynants managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amel's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinard Weynants was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Teunis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timmy De Groot might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Teunis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timmy De Groot ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Neerpede getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tommy Vandeput hit a great ball. Tommy Vandeput kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Reinard Weynantss short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Marco Teunis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Timmy De Groot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinard Weynants recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timmy De Groot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Teunis having to interfere. If Reinard Weynants had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tibo Van Boeckost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Ingelborgh having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geordy Sutens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Amel booed when Neerpede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greg Eijkens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute Walter Vereyt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Teunis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Timmy De Groot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Teunis. Neerpede's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmy De Groot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Van Den Broeck in the 61st minute of play forced Neerpede's goalkeeper Marco Teunis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Neerpede's goalkeeper Marco Teunis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, Neerpede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam-Lucas Van Caubergen to maneuver through the defense. Timmy De Groot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernd Sanders's late challenge caught a Neerpede's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernd Sanders helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Bernd Sanders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Vandeput hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Marco Teunis came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Amel's Timmy De Groot. But to his dismay, Timmy De Groot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Amel's Reinard Weynants got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Reinard Weynants's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Teunis was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Tibo Van Boeckost struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gilles Ingelborgh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neerpede. Neerpede's Sam-Lucas Van Caubergen got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Sam-Lucas Van Caubergen off the ground. Sam-Lucas Van Caubergen kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
