Bainkes's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Emeleers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorre Salms breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christoff Servrancx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jorre Salms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Lambrechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Arsene Driesen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Christoff Servrancx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bainkes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoff Servrancx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hakuna Matata's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Christoff Servrancx scored to the left of an out of position Jorre Salms, making the score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoff Servrancx in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorre Salms saved Hakuna Matata from getting behind. Chris-George Anthonis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorre Salms having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Hakuna Matata's Freddy Van Den Hout sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arsene Driesen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Lambrechts in the 28th minute of play forced Bainkes's goalkeeper Arsene Driesen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Emeleers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Hakuna Matata's Jorre Salms got control of the ball when Chris-George Anthonis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oscar Lambrechts hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christoff Servrancx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Chris-George Anthonis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bainkes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hakuna Matata the free kick. The supporters of Hakuna Matata booed when Bainkes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris-George Anthonis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoff Servrancx in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorre Salms saved Hakuna Matata from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Edward Loosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorre Salms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoff Servrancx in the 58th minute of the match. Chris-George Anthonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hakuna Matata getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Dominic De Spiegeleire hit a great ball. Bainkes's Rudy Van Hoght couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hakuna Matata. Freddy Van Den Hout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsene Driesen having to interfere. Raf de Pelsmaecker struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Arsene Driesen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hakuna Matata. Christoff Servrancx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jorre Salms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bainkes's Arsene Driesen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Bainkes from getting a goal against them. Christoff Servrancx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Lambrechts kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Edward Loosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
