Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Angelo Huveneers kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zalmen's zone, Jorre de Pelsmaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The referee ignored FC Zalmen's protests and gave Francois Hosselaer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Zalmen's Francois Hosselaer got a free kick in the 9th minute. The tension between the FC Zalmen and the Sautour players grew even worse after the yellow card. Freek Van den Broeck kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Thomas Voets sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Zalmen's Bobby Meulders didn't even have to move. If Jacq Van Gorp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorre de Pelsmaker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Bobby Meulders made a huge save. Stefan van der Eycken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric de la Croix having to interfere. With his leg Bobby Meulders managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Sautour's Jorre de Pelsmaker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eric de la Croix stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan van der Eycken's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. FC Zalmen's Stefan van der Eycken got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Sautour's Eric de la Croix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Huveneers in the 51st minute of play. Angelo Huveneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eric de la Croix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric de la Croix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Huveneers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play, FC Zalmen's Stefan van der Eycken made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martial Wellens's late challenge caught a FC Zalmen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martial Wellens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, Sautour was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martial Wellens to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Mattheo Teunis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute FC Zalmen were awarded a corner. Jordi Roekeloos went to the cornerflag to take it. If Angelo Huveneers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Stefan van der Eycken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Zalmen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan van der Eycken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Angelo Huveneers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric de la Croix was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Martial Wellens was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Eric de la Croix was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jordi Roekeloos. FC Zalmen were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
