If Stefan van der Eycken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Huveneers struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Lorenzo Lanphant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Zalmen. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan van der Eycken got free with Lorenzo Lanphant in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute Angelo Huveneers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Lanphant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norbert Allaert kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Lorenzo Lanphant, was totally fooled by FC Zalmen's Jordi Roekeloos, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing! Jordi Roekeloos shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Bobby Meulders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorg Reijnders in the 22nd minute of play. If Stefan van der Eycken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Lorenzo Lanphant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing from getting a goal against them. After 35 played minutes FC Zalmen got a freekick which was hit by Sander Marrant. Lorenzo Lanphant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Huveneers, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, FC Zalmen's goal looked a bit too open when Reinard Pluijssens came free, but Bobby Meulders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan van der Eycken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Lorenzo Lanphant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelo Huveneers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jorg Reijnders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Zalmen getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Freek Van den Broeck hit a great ball. Jorg Reijnders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Meulders having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Sander Marrant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Zalmen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sander Marrant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Huveneers in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorenzo Lanphant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dirk Van Beersel hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jordi Roekeloos, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 81st minute of the match Tommy De Cat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lorenzo Lanphant skillfully saved the ball. Ivo Neefs kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Angelo Huveneers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorenzo Lanphant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Stefan van der Eycken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan van der Eycken in the 88th minute of play forced FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's goalkeeper Lorenzo Lanphant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stefan van der Eycken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinard Pluijssens came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bobby Meulders could save by the left post. There was no doubt that FC Zalmen were the better team. FC Zalmen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
