With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bobby Meulders prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing booed when FC Zalmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Marrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lorenzo Lanphant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Huveneers in the 26th minute of play. FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Lorenzo Lanphant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Huveneers in the 27th minute of play. Jorg Reijnders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Lanphant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan van der Eycken's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's goalkeeper Lorenzo Lanphant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivo Neefs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Meulders having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, FC Zalmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sander Marrant to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Angelo Huveneers made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Stefan van der Eycken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Zalmen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan van der Eycken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's zone, Stefan van der Eycken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Lanphant came out of the goal and Stefan van der Eycken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Stefan van der Eycken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Huveneers in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Lanphant saved FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing from getting behind. FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Lorenzo Lanphant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Huveneers in the 73rd minute of play. Dirk Van Beersel's late challenge caught a FC Zalmen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dirk Van Beersel helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Van Beersel. Mathijs Lyens charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathijs Lyens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Mathijs Lyens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Angelo Huveneers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
