Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rolf Simons took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tjorven Koten took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jordi Van Boeckost. Jordi Van Boeckost dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of FMM booed when KFC Stavelot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etienne Van Der Heijden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Philippe Van den Berch successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 12 played minutes, FMM's Lionel Van Maestricht shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Philippe Van den Berch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FMM reached it. Jordi Van Boeckost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tjorven Koten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Didier Vlimmens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philippe Van den Berch made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Jasper Voorhof sent off a good shot on target. Didier Vlimmens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rolf Simons came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FMM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolf Simons couldn't finish the play. After 28 played minutes KFC Stavelot got a freekick which was hit by Etienne Van Der Heijden. When FMM's Rolf Simons in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Stavelot's goalie prevented a goal. Dylan Van den Berchen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Van Boeckost having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Simons in the 36th minute of play forced KFC Stavelot's goalkeeper Philippe Van den Berch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philippe Van den Berch made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jasper Voorhof sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolf Simons in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philippe Van den Berch saved KFC Stavelot from getting behind. Jasper Voorhof's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philippe Van den Berch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After the first half KFC Stavelot were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dylan Van den Berchen made the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Berckmans hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Rolf Simons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philippe Van den Berch having to interfere. Harold Verbruggen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tjorven Koten hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Harold Verbruggen came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FMM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harold Verbruggen couldn't finish the play. In the 71st match minute, KFC Stavelot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Knoops to maneuver through the defense. If Rolf Simons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philippe Van den Berch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Simons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dylan Van den Berchen kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Philippe Van den Berch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Simons in the 80th minute of the match. Evert Coeckelberghs hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Stavelot's goalkeeper Philippe Van den Berch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FMM's Rolf Simons got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jasper Voorhof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philippe Van den Berch having to interfere.
