Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jorge Vuerinx got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, S.V. GESHAA's Johannes Engelbert got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Rob Vanden Bossche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Rajmond Van Den Wijngaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 minutes S.V. GESHAA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jason Van Eyke who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jason Van Eyke almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.V. GESHAA's Dimitri Martin did a great save. After some careless play in the S.V. GESHAA defense, Rob Vanden Bossche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimitri Martin. The S.V. GESHAA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitri Martin should have stopped the shot. Jorge Vuerinx's late challenge caught a S.V. GESHAA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Vuerinx helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, Cruzeiro EC's Dimitri Martin threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Vuerinx, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th minute Cruzeiro EC were awarded a corner. Jason Van Eyke went to the cornerflag to take it. Dimitri Martin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Vanden Bossche in the 30th minute of the match. When Cruzeiro EC's Jorge Vuerinx in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.V. GESHAA's goalie prevented a goal. Dimitri Martin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jordi Geerts in the 35th minute. Rob Vanden Bossche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dimitri Martin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rob Vanden Bossche got free with Dimitri Martin in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stephan Theuniers to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, S.V. GESHAA's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Vuerinx came free, but Dimitri Martin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Giles Volens fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.V. GESHAA's protests and gave Giles Volens a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cruzeiro EC booed when S.V. GESHAA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giles Volens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Vuerinx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to S.V. GESHAA getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Johannes Engelbert hit a great ball. If Jorge Vuerinx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, S.V. GESHAA's Rajmond Van Den Wijngaert got a free kick in the 61st minute. Jorge Vuerinx struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Dimitri Martin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro EC. A collision led to S.V. GESHAA getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Giles Volens hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Jason Van Eyke sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and S.V. GESHAA's Dimitri Martin didn't even have to move. Rajmond Van Den Wijngaert hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Dimitri Martin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Vuerinx went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Giles Volens hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 84th match minute, Cruzeiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Eggers to maneuver through the defense. Fred Haeselaers made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Timothy Cooreman sent off a good shot on target. Giles Volens hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Jorge Vuerinx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in S.V. GESHAA's zone, Rob Vanden Bossche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitri Martin came out of the goal and Rob Vanden Bossche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rob Vanden Bossche in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimitri Martin saved S.V. GESHAA from getting behind.
