Spectators: 7361 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, KFC Eendracht Zelem's Reemy Leyman got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jo Swinnen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommy Maerschalckx's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Tommy Maerschalckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jo Swinnen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Brian Bauwens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frederic De Vlaeminck. The goal made the score 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Joonatan Beeckmans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baaigem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Eendracht Zelem the free kick. In the 16th minute Tommy Maerschalckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Swinnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jo Swinnen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneel Ramps in the 19th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Timmy Van Linthaut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jo Swinnen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy de Reyck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes Baaigem got a freekick which was hit by Luke De Mesemaekre. Tommy Maerschalckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jo Swinnen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, KFC Eendracht Zelem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy de Reyck to maneuver through the defense. Bram Dejardin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Frederic De Vlaeminck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bram Dejardins short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Frederic De Vlaeminck to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Tommy de Reyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baaigem's Timmy Van Linthaut got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bram Dejardin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alphonse Sutens's late challenge caught a Baaigem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alphonse Sutens helped the player get up and apologised.

The wind increased when Tommy Maerschalckx made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Tommy de Reyck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Maerschalckx struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Jo Swinnen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Eendracht Zelem. If Tommy Maerschalckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Tommy Maerschalckx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Maerschalckx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jo Swinnen having to make a save. Arsene Holemans kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Timmy Van Linthaut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic De Vlaeminck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timmy Van Linthaut might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederic De Vlaeminck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timmy Van Linthaut ran back to his position shaking his head. If Tommy de Reyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Baaigem fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Eendracht Zelem had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
