If Francois Custermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Soren de Neuyter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Swinnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joannes Montens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bram Dejardin in the 27th minute of the match. Francois Custermans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Jo Swinnen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jo Swinnen was a little too slow when Kent Van Gorp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Timmy Van Linthaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Joannes Montens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Soren de Neuyter made the kick off in the second half. If Soren de Neuyter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Francois Custermans made a precise shot to the right of Jo Swinnen. Baaigem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Bram Dejardin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. In the 94th minute, Timmy Van Linthaut fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 95 minutes into the game, Bernd Emeleers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Java's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baaigem the free kick. In the 95th minute, Bernd Emeleers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Baaigem players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Java.
