An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges-Philippe Wigers in the 4th minute of play forced Java's goalkeeper Joannes Montens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Van Gorp charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Van Gorp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Java's Kent Van Gorp got a free kick in the 5th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Bernt De Kelper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bergerhout's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernt De Kelper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Java's Joannes Montens got control of the ball when Bernt De Kelper tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernard Mampaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Soren de Neuyter in the 12th minute of the match. Francois Custermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bernard Mampaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernt De Kelper got free with Joannes Montens in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joannes Montens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernt De Kelper in the 20th minute. Soren de Neuyter might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernard Mampaerts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Soren de Neuyter ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Francois Custermans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Francois Custermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Mampaerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernard Mampaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soren de Neuyter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Java got a freekick which was hit by Casper Schrevens. If Georges-Philippe Wigers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joannes Montens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges-Philippe Wigers, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th match minute, Java was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georges Van Caubergen to maneuver through the defense. Dolf Decloedt kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Soren de Neuyter made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Java's Francois Custermans got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Francois Custermans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Bernard Mampaerts made a huge save. Bernt De Kelper got in the 66th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Joannes Montens handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Joannes Montens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges-Philippe Wigers, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Joannes Montens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt De Kelper in the 74th minute of play. Bernard Mampaerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Soren de Neuyter's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Georges-Philippe Wigers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joannes Montens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bergerhout's Bernard Mampaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Soren de Neuyter in the 87th minute of play. Joannes Montens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt De Kelper in the 90th minute of the match. Bergerhout's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
