A nice corner shot did that Tomm Bernage got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frederic De Vlaeminck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 87 minutes into the match, Tommy Maerschalckx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joannes Montens. Java's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommy Maerschalckx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Francois Custermans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederic De Vlaeminck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Joannes Montens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy de Reyck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
