Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Georges-Philippe Wigers got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges-Philippe Wigers in the 6th minute of play forced Baaigem's goalkeeper Jo Swinnen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bernt De Kelper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergerhout's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt De Kelper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jo Swinnen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 8 played minutes Bergerhout got a freekick which was hit by Bernt De Kelper. After 9 played minutes Baaigem got a freekick which was hit by Joonatan Beeckmans. Bernt De Kelper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jo Swinnen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Lauwers hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Timmy Van Linthaut managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baaigem's supporters rose to their feet, but Timmy Van Linthaut was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Mampaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bram Dejardin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernard Mampaerts having to make a save. Baaigem's Bram Dejardin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Mats Van Baerlem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bergerhout's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baaigem the free kick. Mats Van Baerlem kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Bergerhout's Bernard Mampaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Van Linthaut in the 36th minute of play. Bernard Mampaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timmy Van Linthaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bram Dejardin might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernard Mampaerts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bram Dejardin ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Baaigem's Bram Dejardin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Mampaerts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Baaigem's goalkeeper Jo Swinnen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernt De Kelper.

In the 55th minute Georges-Philippe Wigers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Swinnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Georges-Philippe Wigers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bram Dejardin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Mampaerts having to interfere. Bernard Mampaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmy Van Linthaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Georges-Philippe Wigers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bergerhout's Bernard Mampaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Van Linthaut in the 87th minute of play. Bernt De Kelper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jo Swinnen having to interfere. Jo Swinnen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernt De Kelper went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
