An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Simon Laermans in the 5th minute of play forced AFC Schoonbroek's goalkeeper Matthew Peters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KFC Hoeilaart booed when AFC Schoonbroek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny De Swert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kasper Braeckman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarno De Backer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KFC Hoeilaart's Charly Van Severen got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jorre Dujardin struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jarno De Backer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Schoonbroek. KFC Hoeilaart's Jarno De Backer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Braeckman in the 32nd minute of play. Sylvan Coenen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kasper Braeckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarno De Backer having to interfere. Jullian Van Hinnendael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jarno De Backer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 51st minute, Sylvan Coenen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthew Peters was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Jullian Van Hinnendael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, KFC Hoeilaart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Masculier to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Lenny De Swert sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KFC Hoeilaart's Jarno De Backer didn't even have to move. Jarno De Backer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasper Braeckman in the 75th minute of play. Jan-Simon Laermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Sylvan Coenen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Peters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Peters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Simon Laermans went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Sylvan Coenen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Matthew Peters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
