After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Mathias-Alexander Degraef managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wauveringen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias-Alexander Degraef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KSV Surdac! Tristan Moerman walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Surdac's zone, Adam Van Herck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilian Van Aghten came out of the goal and Adam Van Herck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gaetan Acke came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Wauveringen fans jumped to their feet. KSV Surdac's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wauveringen the free kick. Daan Huyghens kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Wauveringen's Tristan Moerman tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Wauveringen booed when KSV Surdac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Fabry didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Guilian Van Aghten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias-Alexander Degraef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adolphe Reijnders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Hendrik-Jan Vermeiren made a precise shot to the right of Guilian Van Aghten. KSV Surdac's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
