The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Matthieu Van Boxstael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ac meloen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SIDEMEN FC the free kick. After 3 played minutes Ac meloen got a freekick which was hit by Matthieu Van Boxstael. Charl Lijsens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axell vrolix, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Amaury Schooters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charl Lijsens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charl Lijsens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leo Stroobant went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Charl Lijsens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Goffrey Van Der Straeten in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Ac meloen's Robben Beekman got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Goffrey Van Der Straeten in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Charl Lijsens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 35 played minutes Axell vrolix rounded Ac meloen's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 44th minute, Goffrey Van Der Straeten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Charl Lijsens. The goal made the score 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giles Ceustermans to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Axell vrolix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SIDEMEN FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 61 minutes of play, SIDEMEN FC's Yves Daems made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charl Lijsens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Charl Lijsens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axell vrolix, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 65 played minutes Ac meloen got a freekick which was hit by Robben Beekman.
