Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ludo Van Clynenbreugel started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Nic Van haeck came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the FC Orso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nic Van haeck couldn't finish the play. Tommie Callaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rajmond De Rijck having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Parmentier in the 6th minute of play forced KFC Houthalen's goalkeeper Rajmond De Rijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Houthalen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Dries Poelmans scored to the left of an out of position Rajmond De Rijck, making the score, 1-0. Richmond Huijbregs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Tommie Callaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Orso's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommie Callaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rajmond De Rijck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Tommie Callaerts came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the FC Orso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommie Callaerts couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes of play, KFC Houthalen's Niki Hemeleers made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sylvan Huyberechts was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommie Callaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rajmond De Rijck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Richmond Huijbregs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rajmond De Rijck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ben Parmentier in the 40th minute. With a little luck, KFC Houthalen's Rajmond De Rijck got control of the ball when Richmond Huijbregs tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 played minutes KFC Houthalen got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Leclerq. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Dries Poelmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, FC Orso's Richmond Huijbregs got a free kick in the 64th minute. Rajmond De Rijck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richmond Huijbregs, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Ludo Van Clynenbreugel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerry Leclerq kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommie Callaerts in the 77th minute of play forced KFC Houthalen's goalkeeper Rajmond De Rijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richmond Huijbregs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rajmond De Rijck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Dries Poelmans scored 4-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rajmond De Rijck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rajmond De Rijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommie Callaerts in the 86th minute of play. Rajmond De Rijck came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Orso's Richmond Huijbregs. But to his dismay, Richmond Huijbregs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. If Dries Poelmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute.
