Spectators: 6816 (Terracing: 5666, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Philippe Verheijt kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC HOROZ's goalkeeper Jacobus Winnepennincx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Houthalen's zone, Philippe Verheijt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rajmond De Rijck came out of the goal and Philippe Verheijt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerry Leclerq during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, KFC Houthalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Leclerq to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, FC HOROZ's Jimmy Bernaerts tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Houthalen's zone, Hendrik Van de Putt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rajmond De Rijck came out of the goal and Hendrik Van de Putt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philippe Verheijt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rajmond De Rijck having to interfere. Jarno Van Leempten hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Ludo Van Clynenbreugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niki Hemeleers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobus Winnepennincx having to interfere. Jacobus Winnepennincx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludo Van Clynenbreugel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of KFC Houthalen booed when FC HOROZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignace Quvelirs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes, KFC Houthalen's Brian Wenderix shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacobus Winnepennincx came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KFC Houthalen reached it. Hendrik Van de Putt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludo Van Clynenbreugel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, KFC Houthalen's Niki Hemeleers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobus Winnepennincx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Philippe Verheijt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Philippe Verheijt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludo Van Clynenbreugel to strike the kick off in the second half. Rajmond De Rijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philippe Verheijt in the 59th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes KFC Houthalen got a freekick which was hit by Axel Ronsman. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philippe Verheijt during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes FC HOROZ got a freekick which was hit by Philippe Verheijt. Niki Hemeleers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jacobus Winnepennincx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, KFC Houthalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niki Hemeleers to maneuver through the defense. If Ludo Van Clynenbreugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rajmond De Rijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendrik Van de Putt in the 90th minute of the match. Jerry Leclerq kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
