FC Orso's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurice Vlimmens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karel Van Gorp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurice Vlimmens kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Michael Manaers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dries Poelmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 10 minutes, Maurice Vlimmens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Orso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Vlimmens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Michael Manaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvan Huyberechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mathieu-Maxim De Jonghe came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FC Orso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathieu-Maxim De Jonghe couldn't finish the play. Mathieu-Maxim De Jonghe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karel Van Gorp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. FC Orso's Dries Poelmans was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Dries Poelmans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karel Van Gorp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Mathieu-Maxim De Jonghe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sylvan Huyberechts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy de Pelsmakere in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Tommie Callaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy de Pelsmakere in the 30th minute of play forced FC Orso's goalkeeper Sylvan Huyberechts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karel Van Gorp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathieu-Maxim De Jonghe in the 32nd minute. Maurice Vlimmens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Van Gorp having to interfere. FC Orso's Sylvan Huyberechts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy de Pelsmakere in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Michael Manaers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sylvan Huyberechts. FC Orso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Manaers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Tommie Callaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Orso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommie Callaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 55th match minute, FC Orso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathieu-Maxim De Jonghe to maneuver through the defense. Sylvan Huyberechts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timmy de Pelsmakere in the 60th minute. In the 66th match minute, KV Lille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Kockaerts to maneuver through the defense. Brain Wouqier hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Joris Adriens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karel Van Gorp. KV Lille's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Karel Van Gorp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommie Callaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Dries Poelmans came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC Orso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dries Poelmans couldn't finish the play. Dominic Van Der Eyde kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After 98 minutes KV Lille's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dries Poelmans who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ben Parmentier got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Karel Van Gorp quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FC Orso were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing KV Lille to leave the ground with a draw.
