Joris Van Deinze might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robby Weynants. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joris Van Deinze ran back to his position shaking his head. Hendrik Dejonckheere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tijs Soetemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Hans Leerbels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vaux FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Leerbels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robby Weynants breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Hans Leerbels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hans Leerbels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Robby Weynants tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Joris Van Deinze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaux FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joris Van Deinze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Vaux FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Richard Hendricks hit a great ball. Joe Asselberghs kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by SK Warisoulx's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Max Van de Put was slow to take the kick. During this time Vaux FC's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Alain Volle managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Warisoulx's supporters rose to their feet, but Alain Volle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tijs Soetemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Robby Weynants took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Leerbels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Vaux FC's Hans Leerbels slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robby Weynants. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Joris Van Deinze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaux FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joris Van Deinze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hans Leerbels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Leerbels in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robby Weynants prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the game, Hendrik Dejonckheere cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tijs Soetemans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tijs Soetemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rik Gyselinckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik Dejonckheere in the 87th minute of play forced Vaux FC's goalkeeper Tijs Soetemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robby Weynants made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joris Van Deinze in the 91st minute. If Hendrik Dejonckheere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute of the match SK Warisoulx got a corner. Vaux FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Geert-Jan Lievens ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Geert-Jan Lievens got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tijs Soetemans quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
