Florian Robin's late challenge caught a VC DE Leeuwkens's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Robin helped the player get up and apologised. Florian Robin hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Jens Ceusters sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Hives's Hector Callewaert didn't even have to move. Gwen Roels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Jespers having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf De Ketelaere in the 15th minute of play forced FC Hives's goalkeeper Hector Callewaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Jespers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Jespers. VC DE Leeuwkens's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Nickolas Van der Poortens short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Patrick Jespers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 27thth minute of the game Gustaaf De Ketelaere who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Hives's Hector Callewaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Gustaaf De Ketelaere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Callewaert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Patrick Jespers to make any attempt to save it. If Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot was the one to do the kick off. If Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwen Roels in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Jespers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Charles-Antoine Van Aarschot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd match minute, VC DE Leeuwkens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roben De Malier to maneuver through the defense. FC Hives's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
