Sean Volders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Huijghens in the 31st minute of the match. When Staf Snijers came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the KFC Attert fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Staf Snijers couldn't finish the play. When Enzo Ruelens fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Attert's protests and gave Enzo Ruelens a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KFC Attert getting a freekick after 45 minutes play.
