Kenney Debruyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stijn Verduin in the 3rd minute of play. After 13 minutes, Gregoire De Koster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Desteldonk and the Nickopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Desteldonk got a freekick which was hit by Gregoire De Koster. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Maurus Degens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nickopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurus Degens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenney Debruyn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Desteldonk's Kenney Debruyn got control of the ball when Maurus Degens tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Desteldonk's goalkeeper Kenney Debruyn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roy Van Den Eynden hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When Brent Reijdams came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Desteldonk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brent Reijdams couldn't finish the play. Gregoire De Koster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Desteldonk's Brent Reijdams in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nickopolis's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th match minute, Desteldonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordi Renotte to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Kenney Debruyn managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Nickopolis's Maurus Degens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 41 minutes, Brent Reijdams managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desteldonk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brent Reijdams was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Desteldonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregoire De Koster to maneuver through the defense. When Brent Reijdams came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Desteldonk fans jumped to their feet. The wind increased when Achilles den Ronden made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Desteldonk's goal looked a bit too open when Achilles den Ronden came free, but Kenney Debruyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Maurus Degens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenney Debruyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Nickopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achilles den Ronden to maneuver through the defense. When Desteldonk's Gregoire De Koster in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Brent Reijdams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Volders having to interfere. Sean Volders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregoire De Koster in the 64th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brent Reijdams got free with Sean Volders in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Nickopolis's Sean Volders got control of the ball when Brent Reijdams tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Achilles den Ronden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gregoire De Koster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Brent Reijdams got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaspar Van der Perren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Sean Volders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gregoire De Koster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 94 minutes into the game, Brent Reijdams cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sean Volders was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Nickopolis fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Desteldonk were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
