KFC Maagdeveld's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christiaan Roelandts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christiaan Roelandts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carel Van Kamp having to interfere. KFC Maagdeveld's Christiaan Roelandts got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dolf Temmerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was a penalty for KFC Maagdeveld! When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Ùnico Tongeren's Mario Van Bever got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Staf Van Hoght. In the 42nd minute, Dolf Temmerman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Staf Van Hoght. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of KFC Maagdeveld booed when Ùnico Tongeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertus De Clerk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Christiaan Roelandts made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, KFC Maagdeveld's Charlie de Pelsmacker got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute, Dimitri Tael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Staf Van Hoght showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brend Gyselinx in the 56th minute of the match. KFC Maagdeveld's Staf Van Hoght played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brend Gyselinx in the 65th minute of play. Willem Lyens struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Staf Van Hoght didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ùnico Tongeren. A collision led to Ùnico Tongeren getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Dolf Temmerman hit a great ball. Brend Gyselinx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Staf Van Hoght breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brend Gyselinx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Staf Van Hoght having to make a save. Albertus De Clerk's late challenge caught a KFC Maagdeveld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertus De Clerk helped the player get up and apologised. Albertus De Clerk kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Albertus De Clerk got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ùnico Tongeren's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
