Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgard Justus started the match with the kick off. Thomas Van Hinnendaels hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Jonas Owerckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute of the match Fredrik Blommaert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diederik Tobbackers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Edgard Justus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diederik Tobbackers. Club Loncin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Justus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 19th play minutes Edgard Justus shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Diederik Tobbackers and just under the crossbar into goal. A nice corner shot did that Fredrik Blommaert got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diederik Tobbackers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Edgard Justus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Diederik Tobbackers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest van Haghten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Heijligem in the 29th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Hubert Heijligem took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Ernest van Haghten to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Club Loncin booed when KAA Bautersem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Geeraerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Club Loncin's Gunter De Kelper broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 39th minute Werner Denijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diederik Tobbackers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Justus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diederik Tobbackers having to make a save. 47 minutes into the match, Club Loncin's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Denijs came free, but Diederik Tobbackers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hubert Heijligem made a kick off. When Edgard Justus came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the KAA Bautersem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Justus couldn't finish the play. Stephen Van Deyck kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, KAA Bautersem's Fredrik Blommaert tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Loncin's Stephen Van Deyck got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Diederik Tobbackers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Justus in the 94th minute of play. Jonas Owerckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ernest van Haghten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Loncin succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though KAA Bautersem had controlled the match.
