Carel Van Kamp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Robrecht Vrankx in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Carel Van Kamp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Owerckx in the 52nd minute. Hubert Heijligem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute of the match Gilbert Verhaghen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carel Van Kamp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Club Loncin's Hubert Heijligem dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The tension between the Ùnico Tongeren and the Club Loncin players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ùnico Tongeren's Albertus De Clerk got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Albertus De Clerk was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Van Bever during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carel Van Kamp didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
