Spectators: 7447 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emile De Kijser started the match with the kick off. Jesse Uijterhoven hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Leopold Van Aerschot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Bass Peeters skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Leopold Van Aerschot came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Meetjesland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopold Van Aerschot couldn't finish the play. If Dominick Cremers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bass Peeters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominick Cremers, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Jammy Van Achter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sint-Laureins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jammy Van Achter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pierrot Van der Borght's late challenge caught a Meetjesland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierrot Van der Borght helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Sint-Laureins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierrot Van der Borght to maneuver through the defense. If Dominick Cremers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emile De Kijser in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Huijsmans saved Meetjesland from getting behind. Emile De Kijser struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Mike Huijsmans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sint-Laureins. Mike Huijsmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emile De Kijser in the 37th minute of play. Mike Huijsmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emile De Kijser in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dominick Cremers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leopold Van Aerschot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bass Peeters having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waud Lambert during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Waud Lambert kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Meetjesland's Herbert Wyfliets broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Denis Correyns charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Correyns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Denis Correyns kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Sint-Laureins's goal looked a bit too open when Leopold Van Aerschot came free, but Bass Peeters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Sint-Laureins's Jammy Van Achter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Huijsmans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dominick Cremers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute of the match Herbert Wyfliets sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bass Peeters skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute, Waud Lambert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bass Peeters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominick Cremers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Leopold Van Aerschot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 played minutes Sint-Laureins got a freekick which was hit by Emile De Kijser. After a defensive mix-up in Sint-Laureins's zone, Dominick Cremers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bass Peeters came out of the goal and Dominick Cremers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
