The supporters of Halvedreet booed when Ùnico Tongeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willem Lyens didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Robrecht Vrankx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurent Lanckneus was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Dolf Temmerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A well-hit corner resulted in Dolf Temmerman heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernd Joostens made a kick off. Halvedreet's Laurent Lanckneus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brend Gyselinx in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernd Joostens in the 55th minute of play forced Ùnico Tongeren's goalkeeper Carel Van Kamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dolf Temmerman took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurent Lanckneus. Laurent Lanckneus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Laurent Lanckneus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolf Temmerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Ùnico Tongeren's Dolf Temmerman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laurent Lanckneus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Brend Gyselinx took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurent Lanckneus. Laurent Lanckneus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Laurent Lanckneus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Temmerman in the 83rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wayne Schaerlaekens during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wayne Schaerlaekens hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Laurent Lanckneus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robrecht Vrankx, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Brend Gyselinx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ùnico Tongeren's Robrecht Vrankx got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ùnico Tongeren fans cheered their team off the field, for while Halvedreet had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
