Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Emile De Kijser kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, KFC Maagdeveld's Staf Van Hoght got control of the ball when Jammy Van Achter tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 5 played minutes KFC Maagdeveld got a freekick which was hit by Charlie de Pelsmacker. Jammy Van Achter took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Staf Van Hoght. Staf Van Hoght dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jon Van Den Eijnde's late challenge caught a KFC Maagdeveld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jon Van Den Eijnde helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Sint-Laureins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Van Den Eijnde to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Christiaan Roelandts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bass Peeters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Staf Van Hoght made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jammy Van Achter sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes, Dimitri Tael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Maagdeveld and the Sint-Laureins players grew even worse after the yellow card. 26 minutes into the match, Sint-Laureins's Godfried Vloebergh broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 29 minutes into the game, Emile De Kijser lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Staf Van Hoght. Staf Van Hoght made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jammy Van Achter in the 36th minute. 44 minutes into the match, KFC Maagdeveld's goal looked a bit too open when Emile De Kijser came free, but Staf Van Hoght reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Christiaan Roelandts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bass Peeters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierrot Van der Borght charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierrot Van der Borght the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KFC Maagdeveld booed when Sint-Laureins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierrot Van der Borght didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Christiaan Roelandts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christiaan Roelandts made a kick off. If Jammy Van Achter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jammy Van Achter in the 67th minute of play forced KFC Maagdeveld's goalkeeper Staf Van Hoght to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jammy Van Achter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Staf Van Hoght tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emile De Kijser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Staf Van Hoght made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jammy Van Achter in the 75th minute of play. After 76 played minutes KFC Maagdeveld got a freekick which was hit by Dimitri Tael. Dimitri Tael got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, KFC Maagdeveld's Dimitri Tael got a free kick in the 79th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jammy Van Achter in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Staf Van Hoght prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emile De Kijser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charlie de Pelsmacker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bass Peeters read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Waud Lambert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sint-Laureins's supporters rose to their feet, but Waud Lambert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Staf Van Hoght breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sint-Laureins fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Maagdeveld had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
