The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

A collision led to Meetjesland getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Denis Correyns hit a great ball. Meetjesland's Mike Huijsmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Justus in the 56th minute of play. If Edgard Justus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Peers hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Herbert Wyfliets sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KAA Bautersem's Ernest van Haghten didn't even have to move. Thomas Van Hinnendaels kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Dominick Cremers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest van Haghten having to interfere. With his leg Ernest van Haghten managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Meetjesland's Leopold Van Aerschot fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. KAA Bautersem's Ernest van Haghten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save KAA Bautersem from getting a goal against them. Dominick Cremers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of KAA Bautersem booed when Meetjesland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xander-Paul Van Gertsuyden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike Huijsmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. KAA Bautersem's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
