Mike Huijsmans came out of the goal and Dolf Temmerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willem Lyens hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Dolf Temmerman took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Huijsmans. Mike Huijsmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, Dolf Temmerman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ùnico Tongeren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meetjesland the free kick. Dolf Temmerman kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Brend Gyselinx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ùnico Tongeren's supporters rose to their feet, but Brend Gyselinx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mike Huijsmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dolf Temmerman kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Dolf Temmerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Mike Huijsmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Diederik Van Lier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dominick Cremers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dominick Cremers to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Meetjesland's goalkeeper Mike Huijsmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dolf Temmerman. In the 53rd minute of the match Ùnico Tongeren got a corner. Meetjesland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Van Bever ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dolf Temmerman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ùnico Tongeren's Carel Van Kamp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopold Van Aerschot in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Gyselinx in the 66th minute of play forced Meetjesland's goalkeeper Mike Huijsmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robrecht Vrankx in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Huijsmans saved Meetjesland from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Ùnico Tongeren's goal looked a bit too open when Dominick Cremers came free, but Carel Van Kamp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brend Gyselinx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Huijsmans having to interfere. Mike Huijsmans was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robrecht Vrankx showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 88 minute of play.
