Floris Sterckmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staf Van Hoght having to interfere. If Charlie de Pelsmacker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Garry Custermans during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Floris Sterckmans struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Staf Van Hoght didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Invictus FC. In the 16th minute, Floris Sterckmans fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 20th minute, Invictus FC's Floris Sterckmans ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Staf Van Hoght. In the 25thth minute of the game Floris Sterckmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Maagdeveld's Staf Van Hoght was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, KFC Maagdeveld's Pino Wigers got a free kick in the 26th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Floris Sterckmans made a kick off. Staf Van Hoght showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxime Theys in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Floris Sterckmans in the 95th minute of play forced KFC Maagdeveld's goalkeeper Staf Van Hoght to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Invictus FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
