The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Godts got free with Anthony Cools in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dirk Panhuyse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Georges Wegers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anthony Cools. The goal made the score 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Sebbe Coopmans notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of sv the sharks's Thommy Loozen. Thommy Loozen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anthony Cools made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Mark Godts sent off a good shot on target. If Julien Ceulemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anthony Cools was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Georges Wegers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC MooiBoys's zone, Mark Godts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Cools came out of the goal and Mark Godts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute of the match, Georges Wegers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anthony Cools saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timothy Nelis to make the kick off. Dirk Panhuyse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Cools having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Mark Godts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The sv the sharks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After 62 played minutes, FC MooiBoys's Axell Demeester shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thommy Loozen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC MooiBoys reached it. 64 minutes into the game, Mark Godts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Anthony Cools was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC MooiBoys's Anthony Cools played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Panhuyse in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Georges Wegers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Cools saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. sv the sharks's Thommy Loozen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothy Nelis in the 78th minute of play. Robin de Wolf charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robin de Wolf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, one of FC MooiBoys:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC MooiBoys. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for sv the sharks. Dirk Panhuyse stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anthony Cools. 6-1. Georges Wegers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, FC MooiBoys's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Panhuyse came free, but Anthony Cools reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Ramon Adriens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dirk Panhuyse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Cools having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, FC MooiBoys's goal looked a bit too open when Georges Wegers came free, but Anthony Cools reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
