Peter-Jan Van Aertvinck's late challenge caught a Club Letterhoutem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Club Letterhoutem's Arthur Van Arschot in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meirreyt's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Alan Nilis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Letterhoutem's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Nilis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stan Vrijdag breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, Meirreyt's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Van Severen came free, but Stan Vrijdag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Letterhoutem booed when Meirreyt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad Van Crickinghe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Vanneste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Stan Vrijdag tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stan Vrijdag didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kasper Van Severen went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Meirreyt's Stan Vrijdag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Van Severen in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Club Letterhoutem booed when Meirreyt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remy Kint didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Meirreyt getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Remy Kint hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes Meirreyt got a freekick which was hit by Henri-Patrick Daneels. In the 32nd minute of the match, Peter-Jan Van Aertvinck got a very nice opportunity to score, but Johnny Kestens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Club Letterhoutem's Alan Nilis got a free kick in the 37th minute. Peter-Jan Van Aertvinck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Johnny Kestens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnny Kestens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henri-Patrick Daneels's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute Kasper Van Severen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stan Vrijdag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Kasper Van Severen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mark Vanneste came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stan Vrijdag could save by the left post. When Mark Vanneste came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Club Letterhoutem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Vanneste couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 72nd minute, but Stan Vrijdag got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Meirreyt hanging dry this time. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Nilis during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alan Nilis hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. If Peter-Jan Van Aertvinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Club Letterhoutem's goal looked a bit too open when Henri-Patrick Daneels came free, but Johnny Kestens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Stan Vrijdag successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mark Vanneste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Stan Vrijdag tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kasper Van Severen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Raymond Mathijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Van Arschot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stan Vrijdag having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Meirreyt's goalkeeper Stan Vrijdag had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Vanneste. The Meirreyt fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Letterhoutem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
