Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anthony Van Gorpt kicked off to start the match. When Simon Vercasteren came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the KFC Roozenhoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Vercasteren couldn't finish the play. Anthony Van Gorpt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willy Van de Poel having to make a save. Willy Van de Poel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Verstappen in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Mathieu Verstappen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Willy Van de Poel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Simon Vercasteren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Roozenhoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RSC Anderlecht the free kick. The supporters of RSC Anderlecht booed when KFC Roozenhoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Vercasteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Anthony Van Gorpt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Willy Van de Poel. Anthony Van Gorpt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. KFC Roozenhoek's Simon Vercasteren got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matteo Elens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Stuckers in the 21st minute of the match. Matteo Elens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Stuckers's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Willy Van de Poel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathieu Verstappen in the 26th minute. Adam Vrins kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Anthony Van Gorpt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Van de Poel having to interfere. KFC Roozenhoek's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Anthony Van Gorpt scored to the left of an out of position Willy Van de Poel, making the score, 3-0. In the 34th minute, Anthony Van Gorpt fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Willy Van de Poel, passed just outside the right post. If Simon Vercasteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Godfried Van Landewijck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henk Stuckers to make the kick off. The supporters of KFC Roozenhoek booed when RSC Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Postens didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannik de Pelsmacker in the 56th minute of play forced RSC Anderlecht's goalkeeper Matteo Elens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willy Van de Poel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes KFC Roozenhoek got a freekick which was hit by Yannik de Pelsmacker. After having played for 76 minutes, Henk Stuckers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Roozenhoek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henk Stuckers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Anthony Van Gorpt managed to get in a good position for a shot. RSC Anderlecht's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Van Gorpt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willy Van de Poel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathieu Verstappen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Willy Van de Poel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Anthony Van Gorpt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Willy Van de Poel was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Yannik de Pelsmacker might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matteo Elens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yannik de Pelsmacker ran back to his position shaking his head. If Simon Vercasteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RSC Anderlecht's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
