The referee ignored vg-boys's protests and gave Julius Wortelers a yellow card for diving instead. Julius Wortelers hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Gill Mallecots from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Thibaud Van Adorp's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kobe Baekelandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Van Hoeyvelt in the 10th minute of play. If Artuur De Vlaeminck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thibaud Van Adorp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Debruyn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. In the 19th match minute, vg-boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guust Van Eynde to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 21 minutes, Vic van Kelfs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. sassport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vic van Kelfs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kobe Baekelandt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vic van Kelfs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, Tomas Debruyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. vg-boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Debruyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of vg-boys booed when sassport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vic van Kelfs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artuur De Vlaeminck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thibaud Van Adorp stood somewhat misplaced when Artuur De Vlaeminck came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 43 minute.

vg-boys's Tomas Debruyn got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Debruyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaud Van Adorp having to interfere. When Vic van Kelfs came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the sassport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vic van Kelfs couldn't finish the play. After 61 played minutes sassport got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Engelboorgs. Artuur De Vlaeminck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Thibaud Van Adorp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herald Ooms struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Thibaud Van Adorp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for vg-boys. Vic van Kelfs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harald Van Hoeyvelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Kobe Baekelandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaques De Fever kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Tomas Debruyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. vg-boys had played much better football throughout.
