Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Achilles Van De Wijngaert made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Gert De Bruijn dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fred Kerkhove, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achilles Van De Wijngaert in the 7th minute of play forced FC Meirliators's goalkeeper Carel van Eijnde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred De Raeijmaeker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, F.C. De Stampers's goal looked a bit too open when Gert De Bruijn came free, but Fred Kerkhove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Achilles Van De Wijngaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achilles Van De Wijngaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Carel van Eijnde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carel van Eijnde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johny Vanden Driessche, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Matt Van Mellart was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carel van Eijnde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achilles Van De Wijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th match minute, FC Meirliators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Kockaerts to maneuver through the defense. Achilles Van De Wijngaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Johny Vanden Driessche managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. De Stampers's supporters rose to their feet, but Johny Vanden Driessche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carel van Eijnde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carel van Eijnde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achilles Van De Wijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.

The wind increased when Gert De Bruijn made the kick off in the second half. Gert De Bruijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Kerkhove having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Kerkhove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert De Bruijn in the 59th minute of the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Achilles Van De Wijngaert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Meirliators's Carel van Eijnde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Meirliators! When the match had been going on for 73 minutes, F.C. De Stampers's Matt Van Mellart got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carel van Eijnde. In the 76th minute, Daniel Lenaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Johny Vanden Driessche got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 83 minutes of play, FC Meirliators's Alfred De Raeijmaeker made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Kerkhove was left in no man's land by his defense there! 87 minutes into the match, FC Meirliators's goalkeeper Carel van Eijnde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johny Vanden Driessche. 90 minutes into the game, Kevin Declercq was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. De Stampers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Meirliators the free kick. Kevin Declercq kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Paul-Louis Goons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
