An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Lembrechts in the 37th minute of play forced Park FC Houthalen's goalkeeper Albertus Rutgeerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Lembrechts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Diego Lembrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Niemandshoek were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Lembrechts couldn't finish the play. Diego Lembrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertus Rutgeerts having to interfere.
