Bertan Konings didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schemersberg. If Wilfried Demeulemeester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Lembrechts kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Richey Goolen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Wilfried Demeulemeester took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertan Konings. Bertan Konings dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With his leg Bertan Konings managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Schemersberg's Mathis Calewaerts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Wilfried Demeulemeester came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Schemersberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfried Demeulemeester couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Glen Meersman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertan Konings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertan Konings was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Glen Meersman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Carl Van Cauwenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Niemandshoek booed when Schemersberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfried Demeulemeester didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carl Van Cauwenberg made a kick off. Wilfried Demeulemeester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bertan Konings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfried Demeulemeester might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bertan Konings. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfried Demeulemeester ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Niemandshoek defense, Glen Meersman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bertan Konings. The Niemandshoek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertan Konings should have stopped the shot. When Wilfried Demeulemeester came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Schemersberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfried Demeulemeester couldn't finish the play. Niemandshoek's Carl Van Cauwenberg got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 76 minutes, Diego Lembrechts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niemandshoek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Lembrechts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Lembrechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Luka De Metser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Tijs Joostens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertan Konings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Meersman in the 88th minute of play. Luka De Metser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Lembrechts in the 90th minute of the match. Wilfried Demeulemeester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute Mathis Calewaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertan Konings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
